crossAuthor is an optional add-on component for the Across Language Server translation management system. The software is developed by Congree Language Technologies GmbH. Within the Across sysrem, crossAuthor uses the translation memory as an authoring memory and allows direct access to the terminology database. This reuse of sentences and terminology from the translation memory and terminology database increases the consistency of the texts. crossAuthor supports MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT), Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, JustSystems XMetaL Author, PTC Arbortext and MadCap Flare.
crossAuthor Linguistic offers the same basic features as crossAuthor. In addition, this variant provides a rule-based language check, by which the spelling, grammar, and style of the text is checked.

As part of the translation memory system Across, the Across company offers the component crossTerm as a multilingual terminology management system. Besides manual enrichment of the database, data can be imported using the import functionalities for CSV, TBX, SDL Trados, STAR martif and other file formats. To export data, crossTerm supports the file formats CSV and TBX. Unlike many other desktop terminology management tools, crossTerm does not create separate databases, but all data is saved in MySQL. crossTerm can also perform monolingual terminology extraction. crossTerm is also available as the standalone edition “Across Personal Edition”. Evoterm is a web-based terminology management system that is accessed via a password protected internet connection and a standard browser. The terminology is saved on a proprietary Internet server. The tool offers a pre-defined database structure that cannot be modified by the user. The administration of the terminology database is restricted primarily to the administration of relevant user rights. In terms of data export Evoterm supports the file formats of MultiTerm-7 and CSV.

extraTerm is an extraction tool developed by IAI Linguistic Content AG. Beside the identification of term candidates, the software delivers additional information about their lexicographical basic form, grammatical gender as well as about the different patterns of term creation. Extracted Terminology can also be checked automatically on quality and consistency with the feature evalTerm. This feature can identify duplicates and has an integrated spellchecker for checking grammar and spelling.

Existing terminology can be integrated according to the program version (Web or Pro). LookUp is a web-based terminology management system by the company D.O.G. The terminology is saved in a central MS-SQL database that is installed on the customer's server. Alternatively, D.O.G can provide terminology via a web-based database server. Authorized users can maintain their terminology on the Internet or Intranet. The database structure is flexible and can be customized by the user. Since LookUp is multitenant, multiple databases can be managed simultaneously (for example, for different customers or business units). In addition, user rights for different user groups can be defined. Supported export formats are TBX and CSV. The software also supports all Unicode fonts that are written from right to left.
Additionally, D.O.G has developed the quality assurance software ErrorSpy. Among others, the completeness of the translation, the typography, the consistency of the terminology and the consistence usage of digits is checked by the program. memoQ and qTerm
The two tools memoQ and qTerm are developed by Kilgray for terminology management. memoQ is a translation memory system with a terminology management component. This component helps creating, managing, and importing terminology databases. Supported import formats are CSV, TSV, TXT, and TMX. Export is possible in the file formats CSV and MultiTerm XML. qTerm is a browser-based terminology management system adapted to memoQ’s server solution (“memoQ server”) making it possible to work in a team with shared tasks. The terminology database can be structured individually. Users can be assigned different rights (reaching from “read-only” to “administrator”).
